Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
No Poverty; Link Galway from their own inception have a strong stance on the SDG of No Poverty. Link Galway pays each employee the minimum wage that can contribute to achieving the SDG of No Poverty. Providing minimum wage will lead to the employees having access to essential services such as healthcare, education and promoting financial security to reduce the aspect on reducing inequality.
Quality Education; SDG 4 aims to make sure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Link Galway achieve this SDG by providing education through helping individuals who have an intellectual disability through the training centre in the bakery. By doing this, we will decrease disparities and equipping individuals with the skills needed for employment and sustainable development.
Decent Work and Economic Growth; Link Galway CLG significantly supports the SDG 8 decent work and economic growth by offering through its fair and stable employment practices. By employing 30 employees with a variety of full-time, part-time and volunteer employees. The Link Galway CLG offer flexible hours that allow employees to have a balance of work commitments and supporting their personal and professional growth. This provides reliable income and fosters a supportive environment and skill development and workplace experience.
Reduced Inequalities; SDG 10 of reduce inequalities the aim is to reduce inequality within among countries. Inequalities threaten long term social and economic development that harms poverty reduction and destroys people’s sense of fulfillment and self-worth. Link Galway CLG plays an important role in reducing inequalities in the disability. By offering and providing training and employment opportunities for individuals who have intellectual disability.
